Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. She is the host of Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and is also co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond locks and a lively persona, shows how you can cook dishes that are restaurant quality at home using simple methods. The chef Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has explored Italy's cuisine and its culture along with the natural environment. Growing up in the Upstate region of New York Chef Burrell was infatuated by food. After earning an English and Communications degree at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the business of restaurant by enroling in The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful opportunity for me. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was a fantastic location to learn. After graduating from the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. It was during this time that her experience in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate the Italian way of life and its culture and has made an impact on her own perception of food. Burrell was an Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to increase living conditions for children who face obstacles. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation's celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of children's diabetes. She frequently travels around the country in her role in the capacity of mentor and public speaker in which she speaks about her career and love of cooking. Through her culinary adventures, Anne has always said I feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share my true passion for life with people.
